Genevieve Gregson pegged one back for the women in the 'battle of the sexes' setting a new women's course record of 32minutes 21seconds to win the 2021 Spectran Group 10km.
The top three women all bettered Lisa Weightman's course record of 32:41 set in 2018, with Ellie Pashley placing second and Sinead Diver third.
Men's winner Jack Rayner also broke the course record running 28:28 to take two seconds off his training mate Brett Robinson's record from 2019 of 28:30.
Four time race winner Liam Adams placed second, with Joel Tobin-White taking third.
It was the largest event in Australia since the 2020 edition just before the pandemic hit, with nearly 4000 participants.
